Immerse yourself in the breathtaking Þórsmörk valley, a cinematic landscape nestled between colossal glaciers that offer panoramic vistas and welcoming surroundings. This enchanting destination derives its name from Thor, the Viking God of Thunder. As we make our way to Þórsmörk from the Ring Road, prepare to traverse turbulent rivers cascading down from the glaciers, showcasing the aftermath of the powerful and rapid flood caused by the eruption of Eyjafjallajökull in April 2010.

Our journey continues to the picturesque Stakkholtsgjá canyon, featuring a mesmerizing waterfall where, if time and mood permit, we will embark on an exhilarating hike. Þórsmörk stands as one of the country's most renowned hiking areas, and standing atop its hills and mountains is a truly breathtaking experience. Visitors are inevitably awestruck by the sheer power and magnificence of nature. On our return from Þórsmörk, we will make a stop at the stunning Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Price is per vehicle

If you would like to book this tour during winter time (15 Nov – 31 March) send us an email at gus@friend.is and we will see what we can do.
