The tour departs from Patreksfjörður Tourist Center at 09:00. The bus will take us to the starting point of the hike, at Geldingsskorardalur on the east side of the Látrabjarg cliff, approximately 1 hour drive. From there we hike the edges of Látrabjarg westbound, for 5-6 hours, towards the lighthouse at Bjargtangar, the western-most point of Europe, where the bus awaits us for pick-up. Walking on the edges of the cliff with local guides and enjoying the majestic pristine Icelandic nature is and unforgettable adventure. Látrabjarg is one of the most beautiful natural sites of Iceland, the largest sea bird colony in the Northern Atlantic. The cliff itself is the habitat of millions of seabirds which can be seen on the walk along the edge of the cliff, such as puffins, razorbills, fulmars, guillemots and many more. Látrabjarg is claimed to be the best place in the world to photograph puffins because of how close you can get to them on the cliff. The local guide will take you to an unforgettable hiking tour around the area. On our way back to Patreksfjörður, we visit the heritage museum at Hnjótur for warm refreshments and entertainment, learn how people lived in the old days and how they rescued foreign fishermen from stranding ships under the cliff. Refreshments are extra, but admission to the museum is included. Ideal to rest in Patreksfjörður swimming pool and hot pots at the end of a beautiful day, or in any nearby natural hot pools.

Advisable to wear comfortable warm clothing and hiking boots. We recommend that you bring a backpack, snack and water bottle.
