A 10-hour Tour
Drive down the South coast of Iceland and enjoy an amazing view along with jumping on an ATV and fly through black lava sand fields formed by glacier outbursts from the now dormant volcano Katla.
The wonders of the South Coast, combined with an invigorating ATV tour. This thrilling tour puts you on a quad bike to ride on the black lava sand fields that were formed by glacial outbursts from now dormant volcano Katla. You will enjoy an amazing view of Mýrdalsjökull glacier, Jökulsá river and the famous aircraft wreck from 1973. Afterwards, we explore Iceland’s South coast and beautiful waterfalls, Skógarfoss and Seljalandsfoss.
We start the day with stops at Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls. Skógarfoss is one of the largest waterfalls in Iceland and at Seljalandsfoss visitors can actually walk behind the waterfall for a unique persepctive. We then head to ATV base for a safety briefing before mounting up and heading down to the black lava sands, splashing through a few small rivers along the way. Down at the beach we stop to take in an awesome view of Mýrdalsjökull glacier before carrying on to Jökulsá river and the ruins of an aircraft wreck from 1973. A valid driver’s licence is required to operate the ATVs.
