Private South Coast and Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon Tour takes you on an amazing adventure. If there would be 1 tour to show you the true beauty of Icelandic nature – it would be this one. We will make it a day to remember.

Hellisheiði – Drive On Top Of An Active Volcano – Hengill

After free pick up, we will drive on road no 1 toward the south of Iceland. Since the moment we leave Reykjavik behind, you will be greeted with wild lava landscapes. Literally, the city ends, wilderness begins. Your noses will be glued to the window looking at the amazing lunar scenes. We will be passing through an active volcano Hengill, where Hellisheiði Power Station is located. The whole area is spitting columns of steam into the air. You can definitely tell something is going on under this mountain and being an eyewitness to this untamed force of nature would be a great memory for you!

Seljalandsfoss

After leaving mountains we will be driving through Hveragerði, Selfoss, Hella and Hvolsvöllur to get to the famously spectacular Seljalandasfoss. This breathtaking waterfall will leave your jaw dropped. You have definitely seen pictures of Seljalandasfoss but nothing beats the experience of getting a little wet when walking behind the falling water!

Skógafoss

Shortly after visiting Seljalandasfoss we will make a stop near another Icelandic gem – The Skógafoss. This waterfall is a completely different beast! A huge amount of water is dropping down with tremendous force forming an everpresent water mist that creates beautiful rainbows. It feels like you can almost touch them.

Vík

We will make another stop in this charming little town. It has plenty to offer. First of all: FOOD! After all that excitement, you probably got hungry! We will stop at a restaurant here where you can buy food and gifts. We will also visit the famous black beach in Vík and if we are lucky, we can encounter some puffins on the cliffs.

Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach

Oh my, oh my… This is certainly one of the brightest highlights of this tour. Named one of the top 10 beaches in the whole world by National Geographic, this spectacular location will leave you speechless. Basalt stacks, roaring waves and stunning scenery!
But be careful not to come to close to the waves as the can be extremely dangerous!

Jökulsárlón – The Glacier Lagoon

A glacier lagoon filled with floating icebergs! Condensed beauty in one spot. Every time we come here we are amazed by the changing grace of this place. Here you can go on a boat tour on the glacier lagoon which is an amazing experience! (extra cost is 5 700 kr.  per adult person and 2000 kr. for children)

The Diamond Beach

Located just next to Jökulsárlón, this amazing location is breathtaking! If Iceland were an artist (and a person of course) this would be her canvas. Be prepared to use “WOW” a lot. Ice chunks glistening in the sun like diamonds tossed around by Atlantic waves make a fabulous spectacle!
