Mt. Snæfell is one of Iceland´s highest mountains and infact the highest mountain outside the mighty Vatnajökull glacier. The mountain is by no means technical and the views on a clear day are breathtaking. The tour starts in Egilsstaðir and pickups are in the Egilsstaðir area and in Laugarfell. The hike starts in Eyjabakkar on the east side of the mountain and we follow the north ridge to the top using climbing skins. Skiing down one of the mountains glacier outlets is an unforgettable experience. After skiing the mountains it´s time to dip into the natural warm pools in Laugarfell. The tour ends in Egilsstaðir or at your accommodation.
