Shark fishing on black beaces
- This amazing tour gives you a chance to catch sharks from the beautiful black beaches of south Iceland. It is just over an hour from Reykjavík to the black beach just outside the small village of Þykkvabær. There we will fish for mud-sharks (Spiny Dogfish) that cruise along the beach. These small to medium-sized sharks can range from 80-160 cm (2.5-6 feet) in size and tend to feed in packs of up to 100 sharks. Although the mud-sharks are our target species we often hook into stingrays, wolffish, monkfish, cod and many more. All the fishing is catch and release.

08:00 am – Pick up at your hotel (timing flexible).
09:30 am – Arrival at the beach and start fishing.
12:00 am – Lunch served at the beach.
02:00 pm – Drive to Reykjavík (timing flexible).
03:30 pm – Arrive at the hotel.
