Experience a unique blend of adventure and relaxation with our tour of Reykjadalur Volcanic Valley & Geothermal Baths, located only a 30-minute drive from Reykjavik city and the town of Hveragerði, often hailed as the hot spring capital of the world. This five-hour excursion (including driving) is perfect for those seeking a quick yet immersive natural escape in Iceland.

Your journey begins with a convenient pickup from Reykjavik or Keflavik Airport. As we drive, enjoy the scenic 30-mile route, passing the Hellisheidi lava plateau, an active geothermal area, and the impressive Hellisheidi geothermal power station, an essential energy source for Iceland.

Upon arrival at Hveragerði, a trail leads you through breathtaking mountain landscapes and past geothermal marvels toward the hot spring river in Reykjadalur. The hike, approximately 3.5 km, offers a chance to experience the unique Icelandic nature, including lush fields, canyons, and waterfalls. The valley, aptly named for the steam ("reykja") that rises from its grounds, presents a surreal vista of steaming vents and bubbling springs.

The highlight of the trek is undoubtedly the thermal river, where you can indulge in a soothing soak. The river's temperature varies, allowing you to find the ideal spot for relaxation. Surround yourself with nature's splendor, from the sulfur-rich soil's vibrant hues to the serene blue of the hot springs.

After rejuvenating in the geothermal waters, we head back to Reykjavik. This tour offers a chance to unwind in the natural hot springs and immerse yourself in the majestic Icelandic outdoors, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
