Visit the craters of Stampar, Fagradalsfjall's newest volcano, Seltún Geothermal area, Gunnuhver hot spring, the Bridge Between Continents, Reykjanes lighthouse, Grindavik town, and Kleifarvatn Lake.

Possible add-ons: Blue Lagoon Geothermal Spa, ATV Quad Bike, and the Viking Museum.

Reykjanes Peninsula Unesco Geopark is the first nature you will see in Iceland after landing. It is often described as another planet or a lunar landscape with its unique lava fields shaping the landscape as we imagine the moon or Mars.

Most of the peninsula is covered with semi-fluid rock and impressive volcano ridges. Since Mars 2021, it has also been the youngest Icelandic territory formed with the volcanic eruption at Fagradalsfjall. Geothermal areas are everywhere, and we will visit the most powerful hot spring in Iceland called "Gunnuhver," named after a female ghost that would terrorize the inhabitants of this area.

Other tour highlights include the Seltún geothermal site with very active mud pots and fumaroles, the largest lake on the peninsula Kleifarvatn, the symbolic footbridge between continents, the oldest lighthouse currently operated in Iceland since 1908, and out-of-this-world craters of Stampar.

Lunch (self-pay) will be in a local restaurant in the fishery village of Grindavik. According to US actress Sigourney Weaver from the "Alien movies," they have the best lobster soup in the world.

After lunch, we get ready for the optional activity with the ATV quad bike. The tour runs through historic lava fields with abandoned shipwrecks. We explore a mountain track towards Mt.Hagafell with fantastic views of the Blue Lagoon and Mt. Fagradalsfjall, where the newest volcanic eruption happened.

If included, we make another stop at the world-famous Blue Lagoon, where you can immerse and relax in the silica water after this fantastic day with us.

Join us for this full-day tour of adventures and excitement around the Volcanic Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland.

Check our tour in this area to the new volcanic eruption site Fagradalsfjall.
