Private Snæfellsnes Tour
Go to a very unique coastal area of Iceland
Step away from busy destinations like the Golden Circle and the South Coast with the tour. The Snaefellsnes area gives a different view of Iceland.
First, we will begin with Reykjavik pickup.
This peninsula is the inspiration for the novel “Journey to the Center of the Earth ''. There are historic villages, basalt cliffs, craters, volcanoes and waterfalls to explore within this area.
Make sure you have a full camera battery, our many stops will include:
- Borgarnes Town- This town was one of the early settlements, served as the setting for Egils Saga in the Saga of Icelanders
- Seal Beach- Also known as Ytri Tunga, we might just spot some seals relaxing on the beach
- Budir Church- The famous black colored church
- Bjarnarfoss- a beautiful, tall waterfall (80m)
- Arnarstapi- old fishing hub
- Djúpalónssandur- black lava formations
- Saxhóll Crater- formed from an old volcano, this is one of the more easy to visit craters.
- Kirkjufell- aka Game of Thrones Mountain
Once our adventure has come to its end, we will make our way back to Reykjavik.
