Itinerary
Our carefully crafted excursion begins in the vibrant capital city of Reykjavik. Your driver will pick you up from your accommodation then we set you off for a scenic ride.
Our first stop is near Mt. Kirkjufell, one of the most famous mountains in Iceland. Mt. Kirkjufell and the waterfall Kirkjufellsfoss can be photographed in one epic shot.
Winding along the Snæfellsjökull National Park, we will encounter the mystical glacier atop of an active volcano called Snæfellsjökull. It is said to be an entryway to the earth's core. The towering height of this mountain makes the summit visible even from Reykjavik city.
Half way of this journey, at the foot of Snæfellsjökull glacier is Djúpalónssandur, famous for it’s black pebbled beaches and iron artifacts of an Epine GY7 fishing trawler from 1948.
Around this time we will pass by The Lóndrangar in Hellnar. This pair of natural pillars, at the heights of 75 and 61 m tall will leave you in awe and remind you of the humbling marvels of the world. In a few minutes after seeing the twin towers, we will make a stop at Gestastofan á Malarrifi. Take this chance to check out the museum or the lighthouse and enjoy the tranquil beauty of the surroundings.
Next stop is the village Arnarstapi. Its dramatic cliffs display the delicate balance between land, water and sky that creates a scene of unparalleled beauty where time stands still. Arnarstapi cliffs are not only a feast for the eyes but also a haven for birdlife. Seabirds of all shapes and sizes adorn the sky.
As the day draws to a close, we will make a quick stop at one of the oldest churches in Iceland, Búðakirkja. This 18th century tiny black wooden church has become a symbol of strength and resilience among locals.
The memorable day ends with your guide dropping you off at your hotel or at any location in Reykjavik that is convenient for you.
