TOUR DESCRIPTION
Your tour will start with pick-up directly from your accommodation in Reykjavík. We’ll drive straight south – making our way towards the Reykjanes area.
The “Smoking Peninsula” is a small headland on the southwestern tip of the Reykjanes Peninsula. The area is connected to volcanic activity because the Mid-Atlantic rift runs right through it – explaining the many hot springs in the area.
We’ll start our tour with the Seltún and then make our way to the Krýsuvíkurberg Cliff and Gunnuhver.
We’ll also walk over the bridge that connects the North American to the European tectonic plate. Talk about a bucket list item!
Once we have concluded all our stops, we will head back south into Reykjavík for drop-off.
Optional addition to the tour that we highly recommend:
Blue Lagoon – A blue geothermal lagoon famous for it’s blue colors, silica mud masks and miraculous landscape.
