Due to the nature of the trip, each trip is unique.

Each departure and every tour is different.

Depending on the best weather forecast of spotting the Northern Lights.

Sight locations are usually never the same, due to weather forecasts, cloud cover, and light pollution.

But we will try our best to fulfil the dream and the excitement.

Our goal and passion are small groups so the Northern Lights private tour is perfect for 1-4 passengers.

Aurora Borealis, another name for the Northern Lights, is a natural wonder, and hence, the sighting is not guaranteed every night during the northern lights period. However, we will drive you to the countryside, into absolute darkness, in the hope of seeing the wonders of the Northern Lights and making your adventure exceptional.

The Northern lights period in Iceland is from late August till late April. The darker and brighter the skies, the better for seeing the aurora borealis. Hence, February, March, October, and November are the best months to see the northern lights in Iceland in wintertime. We always attempt to bring you to the best places and sites around Reykjavik.

The time when aurora borealis is most noticeable, and chances are highest are from late August to late April. It depends on how long the northern lights appear in the sky. Sometimes it might be only a few minutes, sometimes ranging for many hours. Even the northern lights can be powerful and evident, and it is best to be in a dark spot, where there is no light pollution.

The best months to observe the northern light in Iceland are February, March, September, October, and November, but the northern lights period remains from August until April.

The Northern Lights, also recognized as aurora borealis, are produced by solar activity, including solar wind, solar flares, and coronal mass ejections (CME). Those are all sorts of electrically charged particles emitted by the sun. It takes a solar flare about 8 minutes to travel from the sun to the Earth and clash with gaseous particles in the Earth’s atmosphere. Due to fluctuations in the Earth’s magnetic field and the dark winters at the north and south poles, the northern lights are more noticeable near the poles than anyplace in the world.
