Whale watching tour: 2.5 – 3.5 hr
Northern Lights tour: 2.5 – 3 hr
Available: 1 October – 30 November & 1 February – 15 April
After exploring the beautiful landscape and scenery of Eyjafjord, it's whales and sea birds on our 2,5-3,5 hr. Classic Whale Watching tour, you return to the harbour where you have some free time before the Northern Lights Tour starts in the evening.
During the 3 hour whale watching tour we will take you to Eyjafjordur, the longest fjord in Iceland and one of the best places to see whales in Iceland. Our specially trained guides will tell you all about Icelandic whales as well and answer any questions you might have. Our boats have both indoor and outdoor area so you can be sure that the ride is comfortable and pleasant, even at speed and on really cold days! There is also a coffee machine on board with possibility of getting some warming up drinks on board such as coffee, tea or hot chocolate.
The 2,5 -3 hr. Northern Lights Tour will take you outside Akureyri to see nature's most fascinating displays of artistry, the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights as we like to call them. The group size can reach maximum up to 19 persons so we can guarantee to give you a better and a more personal experience. We are monitoring the aurora activity, the cloud forecast and keep in touch with local observers in different areas to head in the direction with the highest chances of seeing Northern Lights, escaping the light pollution of the city.
