Each year, the Sleipnir team embarks on a quest to discover a Natural Ice Cave in Langjökull, ensuring a new and awe-inspiring experience for glacier enthusiasts. No two glacier caves are alike – each year the ice cave is genuinely unique!

Our enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides will lead you through Langjökull Glacier's breathtaking landscape. Discover the wonders of glaciers, listen to interesting facts about glaciers, and hear stories of the Icelandic Highlands. Enjoy the comfort and safety of our enormous Monster Sleipnir Trucks. With the panoramic windows, you have a spectacular view, and with the huge tires, the ride is smoother than you think!

Natural ice caves form during summer and vary in form and size each year. The crystal ice cave is often lined with black volcanic ash from eruptions long ago and is embedded in the ice.

This year, we're excited to introduce the "Odin's Eye Langjökull Ice Cave", a mystical and enchanting discovery that brings a touch of Norse legend to our journey.

Location: Make your way to Road 35 and find the upper parking area of Gullfoss Waterfall. Right there, you’ll spot the ‘Gullfoss – Panorama Restaurant – Cafe – Shop’. If you happen to park in the lower area, no worries! Just head back to the main road and take a right turn uphill. Here’s a map to help you: Google Maps Link

Vehicles to Look for: Our transfer bus is located close to the Sleipnir meeting point sign at the parking lot close to the road of Gullfoss Cafe. During winter time, you will spot the big red Monster Glacier Truck.
