The drive to Landmannalaugar takes approximately 2.5 hours each way, showcasing dramatic lava fields, the iconic Hekla volcano, and the awe-inspiring highlands along the route. Once there, we embark on a 1-2 hour hike through the captivating Laugahraun and Grænagil, followed by a soothing dip in the natural hot pool before heading back to civilization.

We rate it 2 out of 5, as you’ll be outdoors all day, but the tour is  flexible to match your physical level. We offer short hikes tailored to  the group’s preferences, with the option for you to relax and enjoy the  surroundings if you choose not to hike. Our jeeps have steps for easy  access, and our guides are always ready to assist.

Departure/Return location: Midgard Base Camp, Dufþaksbraut 14, Hvolsvöllur.

Departure time: The departure time depends on the season, please see booking widget. We ask our guests to show up no later than 15 minutes before departure.
