Kistufell Departing from Breiðdalsvík we drive on snow upon the heath Breiðdalsheiði from which we continue on snow upon the mountain Kistufell which reaches up to 1115 m altitude. In clear weather the view from Kistufell is very extensive reaching to places such as Mt. Snæfell, Vatnajökull glacier, Mt. Herðubreið, Mt. Kverkfjöll, Þrándarjökull glacier and over the valley Breiðdalur.
