Golden Circle Tour
Experience the magical Golden Circle and visit Iceland's natural wonders and UNESCO heritage site.
This 7-8 hr. journey takes us from Reykjavík, first to the ancient Icelandic Parliament, Thingvellir, a UNESCO World Heritage site of enormous natural beauty. Next we will visit the geysers at Haukadalur, the original Geysir and Strokkur, the very active hot spring, erupting every 10 minutes or so. Then we will visit one of Iceland's most beautiful waterfalls, Gullfoss, and after basking in the Secret Lagoon for a while we will have late lunch at Friðheimar greenhouse, where the theme is tomatos, grown on the site. The tour ends where it started in Reykjavík. Since this is a private tour, passengers will be picked up at their accommodation in the Reykjavík area and returned there at the end of the tour.
Included in the price is the admission to the Secret Lagoon.
The first stop on our trip is the ancient Icelandic Parliament, Thingvellir. A national park of great natural beauty. You will be told the history of the ancient Parliement and its meaning for the nation and medieval rule.
Please wear good shoes that may get dirty. Bring with you clothes appropriate for the season in Iceland.
