Golden Circle and Kerlingarfjöll Private Tour

Experience a personalised adventure in Iceland's untouched wilderness. Visit the Golden Circle's famous attractions and explore the remote, colourful mountains and hot springs of Kerlingarfjöll.

On this daily tour, we will be exploring two of the country’s most iconic sites: the Golden Circle and Kerlingarfjöll. Our first stop will be the Golden Circle, a popular route that includes three of Iceland’s most famous attractions. We will start at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is home to the world’s oldest parliament and is also where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet.

Next, we will visit Geysir geothermal area, where you will have the chance to witness the powerful geysers and hot springs that give the area its name. The most famous geyser, Strokkur, erupts every few minutes. Our final stop on the Golden Circle will be Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most beautiful waterfalls. After the Golden Circle, we will head to Kerlingarfjöll, a mountain range located in the highlands known for its unique geothermal features, including hot springs, mud pots, and fumaroles. We’ll end our tour with a drive back to Reykjavík.Available only in summer.

For this tour, it would be a good idea to bring a small backpack to carry essentials such as a camera, extra layers of clothing, gloves, snacks and drinks. Comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots would also be recommended. Additionally, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat or other head covering can be useful to protect from the sun. A rain jacket or poncho may also be useful in case of inclement weather. It's also recommended to bring a refillable water bottle as well as a power bank or extra battery for electronic devices.
