The tour starts at Sólheimajökull Base Camp, easily accessible from the South Coast. After meeting your guide, you’ll gear up with crampons and an ice axe—no prior experience needed.

After a short hike to reach the ice, you'll step step onto the glacier and feel the crunch of ancient ice beneath your feet while exploring shimmering formations and ridges.

The pace is relaxed, allowing you to fully appreciate the incredible views of the glacier, rugged mountains, and volcanic terrain. Along the way, there will be plenty of opportunities to snap photos.
