On this tour you will dive the pristine, lava filtered water in Silfra. Silfra is a fissure created by the separation of the Eurasian and North American continental plates. The fissure continuously fills with crystal clear glacial water, making this a dive with unparalleled visibility. It is a truly spectacular dive, not to be missed by any dry suit diver in Iceland! Following the dives, you will explore phenomenal lava caves on foot. The ancient caves are full of utterly weird and wonderful rock formations as well as a splattering of amazing colors.

The tour starts when we pick you up at your accommodation in Reykjavik.
The drive to Thingvellir takes 45-60 minutes.

your SCUBA dive certification card (PADI Open Water or equivalent)
proof of dry suit certification or 10 logged dry suit dives within two years of tour date
long underwear
thick socks
suitable clothes for the weather of the day
good shoes (e.g. hiking boots)
warm clothes for caving

We will meet you at Silfra at the time stated above on this ticket.

A map showing the meeting point at Silfra can be seen HERE. Please note that it takes about an hour to drive to Silfra from Reykjavík. The Information Center has a gift shop, cafe, and restrooms.
Please note that the National Park charges a 500 ISK fee for parking at the meter.

PLEASE BRING: your diving certification card, dry suit diving certification or written proof of 10 dry suit dives within the last two years, long thermal underwear and two pairs of thick wool socks.
