Our private small group tour to Iceland's Golden Circle is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that takes you through some of the most stunning natural wonders in the world. Led by an experienced guide, you'll journey through the rugged landscapes of Iceland and explore the country's rich history and culture.

Our first stop is Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the site of Iceland's first parliament, the Althing. Here, you'll see the breathtaking Almannagjá rift, which marks the boundary between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. You'll also walk along the shores of the crystal-clear Öxarárfoss waterfall and marvel at the park's stunning natural beauty.

Next, we'll head to the Geysir geothermal area, home to the famous Strokkur geyser. Here, you'll witness the awe-inspiring spectacle of hot water and steam shooting up into the air every few minutes. You'll also have the opportunity to explore the area's many hot springs, mud pools, and fumaroles, and learn about the geology that shapes Iceland's unique landscapes.

After our visit to Geysir, we'll make our way to Gullfoss, one of Iceland's most iconic waterfalls. You'll hear the roar of the Hvítá river as it plunges over two massive cascades, creating a breathtaking spectacle of spray and mist. You'll also have plenty of time to explore the area's scenic walking trails and take in the stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

Finally, we'll stop at the Friðheimar Tomato Farm, where you'll enjoy a delicious snack made with fresh, locally-grown tomatoes. This family-run farm is one of Iceland's best-known tomato producers, and you'll get a chance to see their greenhouse facilities and learn about their innovative growing techniques.

Throughout the tour, your guide will provide in-depth commentary on Iceland's history, culture, and natural wonders, ensuring that you have a truly unforgettable experience. Our private small group tours are limited to just a few people, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, take photos, and soak up the beauty of Iceland's Golden Circle.

When preparing for a day tour from Reykjavík, it's important to be prepared for Iceland's ever-changing weather conditions. Even in the summer months, the weather can be unpredictable, and temperatures can vary greatly from one location to another. Therefore, it's essential to pack and dress appropriately to ensure you are comfortable throughout the day.

Here are some recommended clothing items to bring on your day tour:

  • Waterproof jacket: A good-quality waterproof jacket is a must for any trip to Iceland, as rain and wind are common throughout the year.
  • Warm layers: It's important to bring several layers of warm clothing, including a fleece or wool sweater, as temperatures can drop quickly, even during the summer months.
  • Waterproof pants: Waterproof pants are also recommended, especially if you plan on participating in any outdoor activities such as hiking or exploring waterfalls.
  • Sturdy shoes: Comfortable and sturdy shoes with good traction are recommended, as you may encounter uneven terrain, rocks, and mud during your tour.
  • Hat and gloves: Even during the summer months, it can be chilly in Iceland, especially in high-altitude areas or near the coast. Therefore, it's a good idea to bring a hat and gloves to stay warm.
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen: The sun in Iceland can be surprisingly strong, even on cloudy days, so it's important to protect your skin and eyes from the UV rays.

It's also a good idea to bring a small backpack to carry your personal belongings, such as a camera, water bottle, and snacks. Additionally, it's recommended to check the weather forecast before your tour and dress accordingly, as conditions can change quickly in Iceland. By packing appropriately, you can ensure that you stay comfortable and enjoy your day tour to the fullest.
