The ice cave we visit is easy to get to with our well equipped Land Rover Defender super jeeps so we normally only have to walk short distance. We always wear helmets, and when needed we also provide micro spikes or crampons. We only go with one small private party at a time, but be ready for lot of big groups from other companies in the same location. This is a great trip for people that want to chat and learn about Iceland and glaciers the local person doing the trip, and prefer to go with a small party in contrast to the mass production companies.
