This E-Bike tour takes you into the Víknaslóðir Wilderness to explore geology, history and myth.

Explore a hidden gem in an eco-friendly way in this E-Biking tour. This tour takes you beyond the reach of your rental car and goes further into the Víknaslóðir Wilderness, an ancient part of Iceland and formerly populated by sustenance farmers, now deserted and home only to sheep and birds. The goal of this tour is reaching and exploring three lakes situated in an ancient rhyolite basin created through the combined forces of ancient explosive volcanic activity, landslides and glacial erosion.These lakes overlook the inner valley of Breiðavík, a once prosperous farming community. After delighting in the mountain halls we ride down the hill and take the same route back to the village.

Included in this tour is a premium E-Bike and helmet. Gloves can be provided if requested. Your expert local guide carries a backpack with essential equipment for field maintenance and first aid if needed.

This moderate E-Bike tour is perfect for those looking for an active adventure for all skill levels. However, knowing how to ride a bike is mandatory and experience bicycling on gravel roads is recommended. We cover around 30 kilometers during this tour, riding up to a maximum altitude of 400 meters on gravel roads and trails.
