Day 1: You will be picked up from Reykjavík, between 8am and 8.30. After pick up is completed, off we go for our adventure!
Your journey begins with a visit to Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can walk between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Rich in history and natural beauty, this is where Iceland’s first parliament was established.
Continue to the charming town of Selfoss before heading to the hidden gem of Brúarfoss Waterfall, famous for its striking bright-blue waters and peaceful surroundings.
Next, explore the geothermal wonders of the Geysir Geothermal Area, home to bubbling hot springs and the active Strokkur geyser, which erupts every few minutes. Just a short drive away, witness the power of Gullfoss Waterfall, one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls, cascading dramatically into a rugged canyon.
In the afternoon, gear up for an unforgettable 3-hour glacier hike on Sólheimajökull Glacier. Led by experienced guides, you’ll explore ice formations, crevasses, and stunning glacier landscapes up close.
After a full day of adventure, unwind and spend the night in the Hvolsvöllur area, surrounded by Iceland’s serene countryside.
Day 2: On the second day you will head towards the South Coast.
Begin your day with a visit to the breathtaking Skógafoss Waterfall, one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls. Feel the mist as the powerful cascade drops from towering cliffs, and for those up for it, climb the stairs for a stunning panoramic view from above.
Continue your journey along the South Coast to the spectacular Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where massive icebergs drift peacefully across a deep glacial lake. This serene and ever-changing landscape is one of Iceland’s most unforgettable sights.
For a closer experience, you may join an optional Amphibian Boat Tour, allowing you to sail among the floating icebergs and truly appreciate their scale and beauty.
Just across the road lies the famous Diamond Beach, where chunks of glacial ice wash ashore, sparkling like diamonds against the black volcanic sand—perfect for photos and a peaceful stroll.
After a full day of natural wonders, head back to the charming Vík area for your overnight stay, surrounded by dramatic coastal landscapes.
Day 3 – Ice Caves, Black Sand Beaches & Waterfalls
Start your final day with an unforgettable adventure to the Katla Ice Cave, located beneath one of Iceland’s most powerful volcanoes. This guided experience takes you inside a natural ice cave, where layers of black volcanic ash and blue ice create a dramatic and otherworldly landscape.
Continue to the striking Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, famous for its jet-black sands, towering basalt columns, and powerful Atlantic waves. Keep an eye out for the legendary Reynisdrangar sea stacks rising from the ocean just offshore.
On your way back toward Reykjavík, stop at the beautiful Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, where you can walk behind the cascading water for a unique and immersive perspective—an unforgettable way to end your journey.
