Spa Laugarvatn Fontana
Once your snorkeling tour wraps up, drive yourself to Fontana Steam by the Lake Spa in Laugarvatn. It's roughly a 30-minute drive (about 15–18 km) from the Silfra car park. Please make sure to arrive a bit in advance to check in at the reception. Stay as long as you like once you're there — your Fontana ticket isn't time-limited.

Silfra Snorkeling
Snorkeling in the Silfra fissure is our first adventure. The Silfra fissure is one of Iceland’s best-kept secrets, an otherworldly scene that is world-famous for its heavenly shades of blue. Frequently rated as one of the world's top ten dive sites, the Silfra offers up to 100 meters of underwater visibility. The crystal clear water in the deep fissure gives you a feeling of being weightless as you float down with the lazy current. Snorkeling is a relaxing but exotic trip in an environment most will only encounter in their dreams.

Uzdrowisko Fontana
Fontana is right by the shores of Laugarvatn lake. Like many areas in Iceland, Laugarvatn and its surroundings sit on top of a geothermal hot spot. This means that the earth beneath is simmering with boiling water, erupting into geysers here and there. This warm water has been used for cooking, bathing, and heating up buildings in Laugarvatn for generations and is the foundation of the area's bathing culture.

For the Fontana Spa, please drive to Fontana Steam by the lake Reception. There is a parking lot near the Spa where you can leave your vehicle. Please make sure to arrive a bit in advance to check in at the reception.

Getting there:
This is a self-drive, meet-on-location combo of Snorkeling in Silfra Fissure and Fontana Spa general admission — transportation between Reykjavík, Silfra, and Fontana isn't included. You'll need a valid driver's license and your own vehicle or rental car. Check road.is and vedur.is before you set out, since Icelandic weather and road conditions can change quickly.

Dry suit sizes: Our gear is limited to standard sizes available on the market, and guests must fall within the specified size parameters.
