The drive from Keflavík Airport to Reykjavík takes less than an hour. This private tour turns it into your first full day in Iceland: lava fields and wild coastline on the Reykjanes Peninsula, a soak in the Blue Lagoon, and a first look at Reykjavík before we drop you at your accommodation.

Your group gets a dedicated driver-guide and a vehicle that belongs entirely to you for the day. No fixed pace, no waiting for other passengers, no compromises.

Your driver-guide meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign and helps with your luggage. From there you cross the lava fields to the Bridge Between Continents, where you walk across the rift between the North American and Eurasian plates. On the south-west coast you see Reykjanesviti lighthouse, the dark cliffs of Valahnúkamöl, the steam vents and boiling mud of Gunnuhver and the Brimketill lava pool, where the Atlantic surges into a bowl carved from the rock.

Next comes the Blue Lagoon, with its milky-blue geothermal water set in a black lava field, a perfect way to unwind after your flight. The day ends in Reykjavík with the Sun Voyager on the seafront, Harpa concert hall, Austurvöllur Square, the colourful Skólavörðustígur and Hallgrímskirkja.

Throughout the day your driver-guide shares stories, sagas and practical tips for the rest of your trip.

Full details of each stop are in the itinerary. Pick-up is at Keflavík Airport, and drop-off anywhere in the Capital Area is included. The order of stops may be adjusted on the day due to weather, road conditions or your Blue Lagoon entry time.

Blue Lagoon tickets

Entry tickets are not included in the tour price, and you can add them when you book: Comfort, Premium or Signature. Tickets are priced per person.
The Blue Lagoon only accepts guests with a pre-booked time slot. We reserve your slot and plan the day around your arrival.
If you already have tickets, simply skip the add-on and let us know your entry time.
Swimwear is required in the lagoon.

Walking and accessibility

This tour involves easy walks on uneven natural paths that can be wet or icy, and flat walking in Reykjavík, so it is not suitable for guests with serious mobility limitations. The tour is not wheelchair accessible.

Children

Children of all ages are welcome on the tour. The Blue Lagoon welcomes children from 2 years of age, and children aged 8 and under wear free armbands provided at the entrance. One adult can look after up to two children in the water.
