A guided winter ice-fishing day in North Iceland, with permits, equipment and pickup/drop-off included. Meet us by the lake to maximise fishing time. Subject to suitable ice and weather.

Experience a winter fishing day on the lakes of North Iceland with a local guide. Our ice-fishing tours from Akureyri visit Lake Kringluvatn or Lake Langavatn, with the lake and operation depending on suitable ice and weather conditions.

The lakes hold Arctic char and brown trout. Your guide will help you get started and provide fishing equipment and permits. Catches vary with the conditions and cannot be guaranteed.

Allow six hours for the experience. Guiding, fishing permits, use of equipment, pickup and drop-off are included.

Pickup and drop-off are included at no extra charge if you need transport. We recommend meeting your guide directly by the lake to maximise fishing time. Please tell us whether you would like pickup and drop-off or will meet us by the lake. Follow the latest confirmed joining instructions before travelling.

Wear warm clothing for winter conditions, and complete the guest names and equipment sizes in your booking portal before departure.
