How it works:

1. Check in online with Icelandair or Neos first (those two airlines only) so you hold a valid boarding card.

2. Book an evening pickup; we confirm an exact pickup window and send your driver's number and tracking link.

3. Be there with passport and boarding card, bags packed; your driver calls about five minutes ahead, verifies your passport, scans your boarding card, tags your bags through to your final destination and hands you the claim tags. Ten minutes or so — your bags do the rest.

4. We drive your bags to KEF and check them in — your photo email arrives then, belt shot included.

5. Head straight to security — your bags meet you where you land.

Priced per bag — odd-size items (skis, golf bags, bike boxes, strollers) cost the same. Bags can be checked in up to 24 hours before your flight. Bags-only service: you head to the airport separately, bag-free.

When the starts the drive, BagBee sends you a text message with a more detailed estimated pick-up time.

HOW LONG DOES THE DRIVER STAY / HOW LONG IS BAG HAND-OFF PROCESS?

The driver only needs about 5 minutes with you when picking up the bags.

WE ARE IN A GROUP, DO WE ALL NEED TO MEET THE DRIVER?

On flights to USA, the driver needs to meet and check the passport for all passengers.

On flights to Europe, BagBee needs to check the passport for one passenger in each booking (up to 5 persons). That means that only one person from a family or small group, can check-in bags for the rest of the group.

HOW IS THE PROCEDURE BEFORE PICK-UP

A few hours before the pick-up, you will receive a text message (sms) with the estimated pick-up time when the drive is planned. Included will be a tracking link to track the driver on the way to you.

A few minutes before the driver arrives, you will receive another text message notifying you about the imminent driver arrival.

HOW IS THE PROCEDURE ON PICKUP SITE

The driver does an identity check (please have your passport ready) and then scans the boarding pass, weighs the baggage and makes sure that it is within the baggage allowance that has been booked with the airline

The driver goes over the security and safety procedure with the customer, including what cannot be checked-in

The driver prints a bag label, labels the bags and seals the bag. You will receive a copy of both the bag tag and the seal, so you can make sure that no one has opened the bag while in BagBee´s care

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY BAG AFTER IT´S PICKED-UP?

The bag is loaded to the BagBee truck and the driver continues the route to the next pick-up location. The truck is never left unlocked. After the last pickup, the driver goes to the airport with the bag.

HOW DO I KNOW WHEN MY BAG HAS BEEN DELIVERED TO KEF AIRPORT?

You will receive an automatic confirmation e-mail when BagBee has delivered your bags to KEF airport along with a photo of the bag being checked-in
