Onze reis neemt ons mee Eyjafjörður, een van de langste fjorden van IJsland, naar onze eerste bestemming, de Goðafoss waterval, which holds great significance in Iceland's history. If we are fortunate, we may see a rainbow and our guide will provide guidance on capturing the best photos.
Afterward, we will visit the unique Laufás museum and journey into Iceland's past to see how Icelanders lived in turf houses many years ago. The oldest remaining part of the house dates back to 1840, and Laufás was generally considered a wealthy farm by Icelandic standards. You will have the opportunity to look inside and experience history firsthand.
On the way to the Forest Lagoon, we will make a final stop at Eyjafjörður. From where you can take a great photo looking across the fjord to Akureyri. The trip will end at the Forest Lagoon, which is considered by many to be one of the most charming baths in Iceland. You can relax in the steam baths and bathe in the geothermal water.
On the return trip, our guide will show you the most interesting places in the town, including the old town and downtown. They will also provide recommendations for your time in Akureyri.
