Beituskúrinn

Beituskúrinn, ‘The Bait Shack’, occupies a restored 1890s Norwegian timber house on the Neskaupstaður waterfront that once served the town’s whaling and fishing trade. The kitchen focuses on fresh fish landed at the nearby dock alongside a popular pizza menu, served on a large deck overlooking Norðfjörður and its encircling mountains.

The atmospheric setting, live-music events and harbour views have made it one of Neskaupstaður’s standout dining spots. It operates mainly as a summer destination restaurant, with evening service on weekdays and longer hours on Saturdays.
