Systrakaffi

Systrakaffi is the dependable heart of dining in Kirkjubæjarklaustur, essentially the only sizeable service town on the long stretch of south coast between Vík and Höfn. This family-run restaurant offers genuine Icelandic hospitality just off the main road near a pleasant waterfall.

The varied menu is built around fresh, locally sourced ingredients: locally caught Arctic char features prominently, alongside grilled lamb, pizzas and sandwiches, with gluten-free, lactose-free and vegan options available. The lava chocolate soufflé is a popular finish.
