On the South Coast tour, you journey to Seljalandsfoss y Skógafoss which are both beautiful waterfalls on the south coast of Iceland, as well as Sölheimajökull, a glacier. We also go to the wonderful Reynisfjara (the Playa de arena negra), home of the puffins. At last, we will visit Vik y Mýrdal, the southernmost village on the Icelandic mainland.
Seljalandsfoss is about 60 meters (200 ft) high, and you can get really close to it. The water from the river is super fresh and good to drink!
We do have many glaciers in Iceland, especially on the south coast of the island. We stop at Sólheimajökull which is a glacier and is located between two of our most famous volcanoes, Eyjafjallajökull and Katla. The glacier is part of a bigger one called Mýrdalsjökull and is fairly accessible.
Black Beach. Reynisfjara. Nature is beautiful at the Black Sand Beach and the basaltic columns
by the beach are one of a kind. The three cliffs called Reynisdrangar rise up in the ocean with
the island Dyrahólaey not far away, making it one of the most stunning phenomenon in our
country.
Vík í Mýrdal. The southernmost village on the Icelandic mainland with 750
inhabitants. In 1991, the US journal Islands Magazine counted the beach at Vík as one of the ten most beautiful beaches on Earth.
