Wave Guesthouse Hrísey

Wave Guesthouse offers four double rooms of great quality.

The house is fully equipped with a shared bathroom, a lounge and a kitchen. The former clergy house was built in 1935 by Hreinn Pálsson. It has recently been refurbished throughout to suit its new role as a guesthouse.

Hrisey is a fishing village and the owners have deep connections to the sea and the fishing industry. Seamanship, therefore, seemed like the perfect theme for the guesthouse.

Wave Guesthouse is located on the island of Hrisey, often called the pearl of Eyjafjordur, a place renowned for its tranquillity and natural beauty. In Hrisey you can find a variety of entertainment and service such as a new geothermal outdoor swimming pool – open all year round, a café, a grocery store, gallery, museums, tractor rides, bird watching, marked trails for walking, energy resources , and a frisbee golf course.
