The South Coast hits different when the last stop is a hot spring. Enjoy a small-group day tour past waterfalls, black sand beaches, volcanic coastline, a famous red-roofed church and ending in a geothermal soak.

South Coast Soak: Waterfalls, Black Sand Beach, and Reykjaböð Hot Springs

This day tour combines Iceland's best known South Coast sights with a relaxing new way to end the day. Welcome to the South Coast Soak.

Your day starts with pick-up in Reykjavík. From there, we drive to Skógafoss, a powerful waterfall where spray reaches you before the falls even come into view.

Next, we stop in Vík, Iceland's southernmost town. This small village sits between the mountains and the sea. Visit the hilltop church for great views.

Bei Reynisfjara, you will walk on black volcanic sand beneath tall basalt cliffs.

From there, we visit Seljalandsfoss, a waterfall like no other. A path behind the falling water lets you walk right through it, for a view most visitors never get.

As the day winds down, we stop at Reykjaböð, a geothermal hot spring in a valley surrounded by mountains. Soak in warm water and take in the steam and scenery before the drive back to Reykjavík, where your guide drops you off at day's end.

Hvolsvöllur

The drop of the water is about 60 meters (200 ft) high and 25 meters (82 ft) wide. There are a few ways to admire the waterfall, either from the steps on the right side of the waterfall where you have a beautiful view from above, or right in front of it where you can feel all its power. We usually stop at Skógafoss for 40-50 minutes. The parking lot is just 1 minute walk from the waterfall. There are restrooms for visitors.
Vík
Vík is a small fishing village at the other site of the mountain where Reynisfjara is.The view is spectacular and gives you a real feeling of how the Icelandic fishermen lived back in the day.

We stop for lunch here, there is a small cozy restaurant where you can buy lunch. This stop is about 60-70 minutes.
Seljalandsfoss
The last stop of the day before we going to the Hot springs is the waterfall Seljalandsfoss, which is one of the most popular waterfalls in Iceland. The reason for it is that in the summer time you can walk behind it and, if you are in the mood for it take amazing selfies there.

Seljalandsfoss ist ca. 60 Meter (200 ft) hoch und man kommt ihm richtig nahe Das Wasser aus dem Fluss ist super frisch und gut zu trinken!
