Day 1: Reykjavík to Akureyri

• Grábrók Crater: Possible to take a short and relatively easy hike up to the volcanic crater where you have a view over the 2-3 thousand year old lava.

• Kolugljúfur Canyon: Explore this beautiful canyon and waterfall.
• Blönduós: Discover this quaint village as you travel east.

Day 2: Exploring the Diamond Circle

• Ásbyrgi Canyon: Visit this impressive natural formation.

Day 3: Ásbyrgi to Akureyri

• Departure: 9:00 AM from your hotel.

• Húsavík: Visit this picturesque town known for its Viking-style whale watching harbor. Whale watching tours are available (additional booking required).

Day 4: Akureyri to Reykjavík

• Departure: 9:00 AM from your hotel.

Highlights:

• Akureyri: Explore the northern capital before departing.
• Borgarfjörapur: Stop at Barnafoss and Hraunfossar waterfalls.
• Deildunguhver: Visit Europe’s largest hot spring.

Optionale Aktivitäten: Start the day with whale watching, jump aboard a ship and spot these amazing creatures.
