3-Day Guided Tour of Iceland’s South Coast and Golden Circle

Day 1: Golden Circle

Departure: Pick-up at 8:30 AM from your hotel in Reykjavík or up to 30 km from the capital.

• Nationalpark 'Dingvellir': Explore the historic site where the Icelandic Parliament was first established in 930 AD. The area is now protected for its history and natural wonder, where you can witness the rift between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.
• Geothermiegebiet Geysir: See the famous Strokkur geyser, which erupts approximately every 7 minutes. Enjoy the hot springs and steam vents.
• Gullfoss-Wasserfall: Admire the majestic "Queen of Icelandic Waterfalls," known for its impressive height and depth.

Optionale Aktivitäten: If time permits, choose between a snowmobile tour on Langjökull, snorkel between continents in Silfra or a dip in the Secret Lagoon, a natural hot spring.

• Unterkunft: Arrive at your hotel around 6:00-7:00 PM. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant on the South Coast.

Day 2: Southern Coast Exploration

• Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss: Visit these iconic waterfalls and enjoy their stunning views.
• Vík and Kirkjubæjarklaustur: Explore these charming villages and their surroundings.
• Skaftafell: Discover this beautiful nature reserve with its impressive landscapes and beautiful hiking trails.
• Gletscherlagune Jökulsárlón: Enjoy the glacial lagoon filled with icebergs. 

Optionale Aktivitäten: Boat tours are available on Jökulsárlón from May-October for a closer look at the ice formations.

• Unterkunft: Arrive at your hotel around 6:00-7:00 PM and enjoy dinner near Jökulsárlón.

Day 3: Final Highlights and return to Reykjavík

Optionale Aktivitäten: 3 hours Ice cave tour to start the day or Lava show in Vík.

• Vík and Dyrhólaey: Visit the picturesque village of Vík, the Dyrhólaey promontory, and the black sand beaches.
• Skógafoss-Wasserfall: Stop by this impressive waterfall once again.
• Rückkehr nach Reykjavík: Arrive back in Reykjavík around 6:00-7:00 PM, where you can enjoy the evening at your leisure.
