During this day tour, you will get to experience Katla Ice Cave, also known as "The Secret Ice Cave". The glacier presents you with black, white, and blue ice that is over 800 years old! Inside the cave, there are high walls of ice that have been sculpted by glacial water throughout the centuries. Water drips all around and the air is cold and fresh. The beautiful Seljalandsfoss has a path where you can walk behind the stream without getting (too) wet for a unique viewing angle followed by the mighty Skógafoss waterfall; walk on black sand beaches pounded by the Atlantic surf and see the bird cliffs that surround the quaint coastal village of Vík. On the way home, we drive past the greenhouse town of Hveragerði, a place named after the abundant geothermal activity in the area which allows the locals to grow all kinds of plants and produce in row upon row in greenhouses. The sights on Iceland's South shore and Katla Ice Cave are impressive, and exploring them in a Superjeep makes the experience even more memorable.
