Established in 1863, The National Museum of Iceland presents the interesting history of the Icelandic culture. The story behind the Viking settlement is very important for visitors to understand the history. The objects are displayed to tell a story aiming for a better knowledge of the culture, but also a different perspective of the sense of community in the country.
