Description
  • Description

Have you ever heard of the Golden Falls? This waterfall is part of the Golden Circle Drive in the South West, and it is only 1.5 hours from the capital city. Gullfoss is a waterfall that will make you fall in love with it. When arriving at Gullfoss, you will notice a difference between the other waterfalls in Iceland and perhaps the world. Gullfoss is appreciated from above and in between, but not from below. The water and cascades seem to be going through the earth. It might look like the end of the world, but don’t worry. It’s just a matter of perspective.

In the summertime, the water combines with the sunshine creates a rainbow that makes the experience just better! Take pictures and more pictures. It is an absolutely gorgeous place to visit, its magnitude and the water flowing will make you feel the power of nature.

Did you know Gullfoss is the most powerful waterfall in all Europe? The average amount of water flowing down the fall is about 140 cubic meters per second in the summertime and 80 cubic meters per second in winter. A lot, right? Visit this marvelous waterfall. You will love it, just like we do.
