Árbær Open Air Museum
As part of the Reykjavík City Museum, Árbær is a historic Open Air Museum where you will know everything about Reykjavík's past.
In 1957 Árbær opened its doors as a museum with more than 20 buildings forming a town square and a village.
Árbær Open Air Museum has a different number of exhibitions that try to explain Reykjavík’s past showing architecture and past lifestyles. You will also find other events highlighting some of the country’s festivities.
