Guesthouse Nýp

Guesthouse Nyp is situated under the mount Nypurhyrna, facing the Breidafjordur Bay. It is a former farmhouse built of concrete, but farming was abandoned in 1968. Since then the house stood empty and neglected until 2001 when we acquired the property and started renovating. We love the place and are happy to share it with good guests! Guesthouse Nyp is ideal for those who choose to have a quiet “off-the-main-road” nature experience in Iceland. We promote fair trade and grow our own organic vegetables; the breakfast includes fresh home made bread of organically grown ingredients and we make marmalade of berries, rhubarb and wild angelica, – all picked fresh from nature.
