We follow in the footsteps of the British invasion of Iceland, using period photos and videos to take us back in time to it. Despite the serious subject this tour is lighthearted and also looks at the social and cultural effects of World War 2 in Iceland.
Subjects we talk about include;

– Changes in diet
– Relationships between Icelanders and foreign soldiers
We start the walking tour in Austurvollur, the city square, outside Hotel Borg.
We go whatever the weather and are outside the whole time, so please dress appropriately for the day!
