We will meet in the Sólheimajökull parking lot. The driving time from Reykjavik is approximately 2.5 hours. Drive on Route 1 along the south coast, then turn left onto Route 221. After about 5 minutes of driving, you will reach the starting point.

To fully enjoy the glacier trekking excursion, it is important to bring the following gear:

Good hiking boots with ankle support
