Day 1 – Golden Circle Your tour will start with the very popular Golden Circle. You’ll visit all the must-see locations of this popular route: Thingvellir National Park, Geysir geothermal area, and Gullfoss waterfall. Your hotel is located in the South Coast, right outside of the Golden Circle area.
Day 2 – South Coast & Katla Ice Cave In your next destination, you’ll visit the waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, Dýrhóllæy or the door to Heaven, the unmissable Reynisfjara black sand beach with its basalt columns. Moreover, this tour includes a captivating visit to the awe-inspiring Katla Ice Cave, offering you an unforgettable experience and a Glacier Hike. Spend the night in the South nearby Vik area.
Day 3 – Jökulsarlon & Diamond Beach You’ll see the popular Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and take a boat tour among the icebergs. Next, you'll explore the famous Diamond Beach. Spend the night in the South-east.
Day 4 – The Eastfjords Your destination for the day is the remarkable Eastfjords. You’ll pass through Iceland’s largest forest, Hallormsstadaskógur, and see Lake Lagarfljót, home of a terrifying water monster. You’ll spend the night in the town Egilsstadir in the Eastfjords. Day 5 – Lake Mývatn – Traveling to the North You’ll visit Lake Mývatn area with its unique nature baths centered around a large lagoon. Next you'll visit Stuðlagil Canyon view point and then Dettifoss. Spend the night in Akureyri.
Day 6 – North Iceland After visiting the beautiful North and its capital, Akureyri, you’ll continue with Hauganes, a tiny village where you will join a Whale Watching tour. Next, you’ll see Dimmuborgir and Goðafoss. You’ll spend the night in Borgarnes.
Day 7 – Snaefellsnes Peninsula Now you'll be heading to the magnificent Snæfellsnes peninsula in West Iceland. You’ll visit Ytri Tunga Beach, Djúpalónssandur, the Black Church Budakirkja, and Arnarstapi. Also, the unmissable and iconic mountain Kirkjufell with its picturesque features, awaits you.
Day 8 – West Iceland
At the end of your journey, you’ll be heading to the West of Iceland to explore stunning attractions such as Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring, Hraunfossar and Barnafossar waterfalls, and Reykholt, which holds a significant historical heritage. You'll arrive in Reykjavík in the evening. Optional extra: Víðgelmir Lava Cave.

The first day of your 8 day tour around Iceland will be spent in the Golden Circle.
First stop is Thingvellir National Park where both the amazing nature and Icelandic history meet. It’s located where the two tectonic plates, the North American and Eurasian plate are drifting away from each other. The biggest natural lake of Iceland is located in the National Park with it’s variety of fish and bird life. It’s also the location where Icelanders founded their first parliament in 930.
Next up is the geothermal area of Geysir, where you can see mud pools and hot springs all around. The hot spring Strokkur gushes our boiling water every 5-7 minutes.
Then you will head out to Gullfoss Waterfall (The Golden Falls) one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfall dropping 32 meters on two rocky tiers.
At the end of the day you will visit Seljalandsfoss waterfall, originating from the infamous Eyjafjallajökull Glacier. Here you can hike 360° around the waterfall.
Your night will be spent in a hotel on the south coast.
If you are traveling in late August or September you will have the chance of seeing the Northern Lights as the accommodation around Iceland is chosen with Northern Lights sightseeing in mind.
