Bathe in an Iconic Hot Spring, Enjoy Dinner at a Local Restaurant, and Experience the World-Renowned Northern Lights

A Rejuvenating Dip in the Hot Springs, a Delicious Meal, and Nature’s Greatest Light Show

This adventure begins on the Golden Circle, Iceland’s most famous scenic route. You and your local guide will ride in a luxury Jeep to the Secret Lagoon hot spring. After relaxing in the spring for a bit, you’ll enjoy a meal at a family-run restaurant and then set out in search of the magical Northern Lights.

Discover the Secret Lagoon

Despite the name, the Secret Lagoon is far from secret. The Lagoon is a natural swimming pool created in 1891, but it’s not just any outdoor swimming area — it’s fed by mineral-rich geothermal water from the nearby hot springs.

The Secret Lagoon is warm enough to be a welcome respite in all kinds of weather. While it is one of Iceland’s prime attractions for travelers, you’ll be able to skip the crowds with our private transport.

Enjoy Memorable Local Fare

Our local guides are experts when it comes to selecting restaurants. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and multiple generations come together to offer top-notch food and hospitality.

Witness the Breathtaking Northern Lights

You may have seen the Northern Lights (also known as the Aurora Borealis) in pictures or videos. Spectacular as those photos and videos may be, they don’t do justice to the experience of seeing the lights firsthand. And if you’ve seen the lights in person before, you know it’s a sight that never gets old!

The process behind the Northern Lights is almost as incredible as the lights themselves. It all begins when energized particles from the sun rush into our planet’s upper atmosphere. The particles move incredibly fast, traveling at speeds up to 45 million mph (72 million kph).

As the particles reach the atmosphere, Earth’s magnetic field redirects them toward the North Pole and the South Pole. The particles collide with gas molecules in the atmosphere as they travel, producing countless tiny flashes of light. Together, those flashes create the massive, multicolored ribbons of light we see.

Book Your Tour Early On!

The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, so we can’t guarantee that we’ll see them on your tour. Our guides will reschedule with you if the forecast indicates that the lights won’t be visible. For that reason, we strongly suggest that you book your tour for your first night in town.

  • Private Northern lights tour on a luxury car
  • Secret Lagoon entrance
  • Dinner at local restaurant (select from menu at restaurant)
  • Hot chocolate and Icelandic chocolate
  • Free WIFI during tour (this depends on connection of satellite network)
  • Hotel pick-up and drop-off
  • Bottled Icelandic water
  • You do not need to print out your e-ticket for environmental responsibility purposes.
  • The total duration of this tour depends on whether the Northern lights need to be hunted.
  • Sightings of Northern lights can never be fully guaranteed, even with detailed predictions, since Northern lights and weather anomalies are natural phenomena.
  • We try only to go out if the forecast indicates favourable conditions for the Northern lights to be visible, and we always go by the same-day forecast when predicting possible visibility for each evening.
  • In some cases, we may need to delay or cancel your tour due to unfavourable weather or road conditions for your safety.
  • A refund can only be made if we need to cancel your tour due to unfavourable weather conditions.
  • Dress according to the weather by wearing warm and wind-/waterproof clothing in layers and bring gloves and a hat.
  • Wear suitable footwear, preferably waterproof with a good grip, in case of slippery conditions due to ice, rain, or gravel paths.
  • Access to restroom facilities can vary.
  • Please respect nature – do not throw out trash or walk on any moss.
