Explore the this amazing lava tube which was created during a volcanic eruption
Exciting cave trip through the 364 meter (1194 feet) long Gjábakkahellir cave. The cave is quite rocky and we will have to walk, crawl and scramble. On our way through the cave we will see how the hot lava shaped the cave making some amazing lava formations.
This is a small group tour, we only offer 11 spots in each trip.
Transport from meeting point, helmet, lamp, guide.
Our meeting point is at Laugarvatnshellar (The Cave People). We drive in our truck through the lava landscape to the cave.
Good shoes, dress according to weather.
