Seljavallalaug
An old and historic swimming pool
This swimming pool located in the South of Iceland was built in 1923, and it is one of the oldest in the country. Seljavallalaug is the perfect place to relax, and the good thing is that they don’t have an admission fee. But if you are the kind of picky person about water and bacteria, you should avoid getting into the swimming pool. Seljavallalaug is not cleaned as regularly as the other pools, and there is not a constant flow of water due to how the pool was created.
It is still amusing and popular to go to Seljavallalaug, mainly because of the incredible view of the Icelandic mountains. We prefer going to Seljavallalaug in wintertime. You will see how cozy it is.
