Discover how and where gay history in Reykjavík began, how the battle for equality has evolved through the years and where we are at now. See the venues frequented by LGBTQIA+ people throughout the years and learn about the general history and outlook of the people who built Reykjavík and those who inhabit it today.
We start at Pink Iceland offices on Skólavörðustígur, just above the Rainbow Street. We welcome and encourage your questions during the tour. We're pretty knowledgeable about the city and its "herstory" and if we don't know the answer we're good storytellers and can probably come up with an answer more interesting than the facts!
This tour requires participants to be able to walk around for about two hours. Please get in touch with us before the tour starts and let us know about any mobility issues as we can tailor make the tour to suit your needs.
