- Thingvellir National Park
Þingvellir (Thingvellir) is a historic site and national park in Iceland, east of Reykjavík. It’s known for the Alþing (Althing), the site of Iceland’s parliament from the 10th to 18th centuries. On the site are the Þingvellir Church and the ruins of old stone shelters. The park sits in a rift valley caused by the separation of 2 tectonic plates, with rocky cliffs and fissures like the huge Almannagjá fault
- Valley of Geysers
Next, we ventured into the Valley of Geysers, where we unraveled the etymology of the word “Geysir,” which christened all such geothermal marvels. The highlight was Strokkur, Iceland’s tallest geyser, erupting every few minutes with impressive force, sending water spurting up to 30 meters into the sky. The vibrant hues of mineral deposits on the ground and the smoky valley combined to create an otherworldly ambiance.
- Bru Horse Farm
We will make a stop by Bru Horse Farm, to make pictures with horses and we can feed them with special candys for horses. (Please tell to driver/guide if you have allergy from horses)
- Gullfoss Waterfall
Our exploration then led us to the majestic Gullfoss Waterfall. This powerful cascade cascaded down in two magnificent steps, showcasing an awe-inspiring display of cascading water. If luck favored us with clear skies, a radiant rainbow adorned the waterfall, adding to its natural grandeur. We relished multiple vantage points, even daring to venture closer, and embracing the possibility of getting lightly drenched by the waterfall’s mist.
- Fridheimar Tomato Farm
Tomato farm in Iceland. Located on the Golden Circle, Fridheimar is Iceland’s most unique tomato farm, offering lunch right in the greenhouse. Sit down to a feast of tomato soup served with freshly baked bread and cucumber salsa. Guests can buy delicious food souvenirs like Tomato Jam, the Cucumber Salsa, and Tomato Drinks.
- Kerid Crater
Our final destination was the enchanting Kerid Crater, a picturesque lake nestled within its ancient confines. Formed approximately 3000 years ago, this crater beckoned us to embark on a leisurely stroll around its perimeter. The trail meandered along the crater’s edge, treating us to captivating views at every turn.
