Try the most exhilarating activity Borgarfjörður eystri has to offer! Ride with breathtaking mountain and sea views while on fantastic hand-cut trail. This guided mountain bike ride is sure to be a highlight of your trip to Iceland.

We start from the Hafnarhólmi parking area and proceed to the popular Brúnavík trailhead and start hiking up. When we reach the Brúnavíkurskarð mountain pass we part ways with the hikers and follow our own trail to the Ridge. At the top of the Ridge we'll experience amazing views of Brúnavík, Njarðvík, Borgarfjörður and their mountains, including the majestic Mt. Dyrfjöll. The downhill that follows is a gripping, 3 kilometer long, ride which takes us all the way back to the Hafnarhólmi parking area. After the ride your guide will show you to the Hafnarhólmi Puffin Marina and answer all your questions about the birds, the boats and everything in between.

This tour is a guided mountain biking experience in Borgarfjörður eystri. Included is the explanation, storytelling and assistance by a knowledgeable and experienced local guide, a full-suspension bicycle tuned to your size and weight and a helmet. Wearing a helmet is mandatory on the ride.

Gear tuning takes place on site by the guide from your input, so be sure to know your weight before you arrive. The tuning can take between 5-10 minutes.

This tour requires a moderate level of personal physical fitness. We hike uphill with our bikes for about 1.5 hours, up to about 350 meters above sea level.

This tour requires some experience in mountain biking. We will be riding downhill through variable terrain.

This tour requires good basic decision making and safe behaviour.
